Careers

St Clare’s School is committed to ensuring that all students develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to effectively manage their learning and future career aspirations. Our ultimate goal is to support them in becoming independent, resilient young adults who achieve their full potential. This is delivered through the Careers strand of our curriculum, including Independent Living Skills at Key Stage 3 and Futures at Key Stage 4 as well as being interwoven throughout other sessions.

Our Careers programme offers high-quality advice and guidance, helping students understand the wide range of opportunities available at key transition points and in future careers. We support students throughout the decision-making process, ensuring they are well-informed and confident in their choices.

Students from St Clare’s School progress to a variety of destinations within the community and beyond. We encourage high aspirations and provide impartial, personalised guidance tailored to each individual’s needs. We also aim to ensure that parents, guardians, and carers are well informed about the realistic options available to their children.

At Key Stage 4, students work towards a range of qualifications designed to prepare them for adult life and the world of work. These qualifications, from Entry Level to GCSE, focus on developing essential skills for employment, including opportunities in specific vocational areas.
